The North Island's Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency, Te Pou Matakana, is giving $6 million each year to 13 collectives intent on improving social services in their rohe over the next three years.
The new body, which assigns Whanau Ora services to Te Ika a Maui (the North Island), received 79 requests for its 'Collective Impact for Whanau' funding.
The partnerships will run projects in areas including Auckland, the Taupo region, Rotorua, and Hawke's Bay.
The chair of Te Pou Matakana, Merepeka Raukawa-Tait, said it was encouraging to see the level of interest from different organisations keen to work together.
Ms Raukawa-Tait said the agency was impressed with the quality of the submissions and it expected the partnerships selected to make a positive difference to their communities.
