Oklahoma police hunt for gunman after five shot

3:10 pm on 8 April 2012

A gunman has shot five people, killing three of them, in a black neighborhood of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The shooting spree has sparked an intensive manhunt.

Three men and one woman were shot within less than two kilometres of each other in north Tulsa around 1am on Friday.

The body of another victim was discovered outside a nearby funeral home about 8am.

Police say he was likely shot at about the same time as the others.

Officers have described the suspect as a white man driving a white pickup truck.

All five of the victims were black, but Tulsa police say it is too early to know whether the shootings were racially motivated.
