Indonesian officials are searching for a boat carrying about 60 asylum seekers, missing south of the island of Sumbawa.
Asylum seekers in Indonesia say a boat carrying a group of Afghans broke down on the way to Australia.
They say some of the passengers got off the boat but others chose to continue and are now drifting east of Lombok near the island of Sumbawa.
The ABC reports that it is the second time in less than a week that asylum seekers have called for assistance in Indonesian waters.
