Attempt to sue UN over Srebrenica fails

Relatives of Bosnian Muslims massacred at Srebrenica in the 1990s hope to take their case to the European Court of Human Rights after they failed in their attempt to sue the United Nations for the deaths.

Dutch peacekeepers were unable to stop Bosnian Serb forces from murdering 8,000 Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica in 1995, but the Supreme Court in the Netherlands says the UN has immunity from prosecution under international conventions.
