British guitarist Burt Weedon, who inspired a number of rock stars to learn the instrument, has died.
He was 91 and had been unwell for some time.
Weedon first picked up a guitar at the age of 12 and rose to fame in the 1950s. He made several recordings himself, but will be best remembered for his Play In A Day guitar books.
Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney and Brian May were among those who learnt to play by them.
