A court in India has sentenced the former head of the main opposition party, BJP, to four years in prison for taking a bribe in a fake arms deal.
Bangaru Laxman was caught on camera 11 years ago accepting a bribe from undercover reporters posing as arms dealers.
At the time, he said he had accepted the money as a donation for his party.
Laxman, 73, and the others said they had been framed.
After the video footage was shown on television channels, Laxman and then-defence minister George Fernandes were forced to resign.
Central Bureau of Investigation later charged Laxman under anti-corruption laws.
