However Wiggins, 32, has an overall lead of two minutes and five seconds over team-mate Chris Froome.
Vincenzo Nibali of Italy is third 2 minutes and 23 seconds behind and Cadel Evans of Australia is fourth 3 minutes 19 seconds behind.
Tuesday is a rest day. Wednesday's stages are in the Pyrennees. The race ends on Sunday in Paris.
