Suicide bomber kills six outside NATO offices in Kabul

In Afghanistan, a suicide bomber on a bicycle has killed six civilians, including children, outside NATO headquarters in the capital, Kabul.

NATO and local officials say the bomber - believed to be 14-years-old - rode right up to the gates of the heavily barricaded base wearing a vest packed with explosives.

The bodies of children were seen being lifted into ambulances. Scores of young children peddle trinkets and chewing gum around foreign bases in Afghanistan, hoping to earn a bit of cash.

The Taliban has taken responsibility for the attack, but say the bomber was a 28-year-old who was targeting the offices of the CIA.
