The woman at the centre of a scandal involving General David Petraeus has lost her security clearance as the FBI continues an investigation into affairs involving two top generals.
David Petraeus resigned as CIA director last Friday as a result of his relationship with Paula Broadwell and General John Allen is being investigated over an email relationship with Jill Kelley, 37, a Florida socialite.
General Allen has denied any wrongdoing.
The White House is urging people not to jump to conclusions and allow the FBI investigation to continue.
It has been reported that classified material was discovered on Mrs Broadwell's computer.
However, FBI officials have said the agency concluded in its investigation that there had not been any security breach.
