The death toll from the storm that pounded the east coast of the United States almost three weeks ago has risen to at least 128 in North America and Canada.
Among the latest deaths attributed to superstorm Sandy is that of a woman in New Jersey who died of complications of burns and smoke inhalation.
The storm came ashore in New Jersey after killing at least 69 people in the Caribbean, including 54 in Haiti and 11 in Cuba.
