Judge's ruling awaited on radiotherapy for boy

The family of a British boy who had a brain tumour removed is awaiting a judge's ruling on whether the boy will be ordered to undergo radiation treatment.

Sally Roberts, who is from New Zealand, ran away with her son, Neon, aged seven, after doctors told her that he needed radiotherapy as soon as possible.

Ms Roberts is worried about possible serious adverse effects from the treatment.

A judge heard the case in the High Court in London on Saturday and has reserved his decision until next week.

A correspondent in London told Morning Report that it appears the boy must have further scans, and a ruling has been delayed pending the outcome of these.
