A woman who drove her car down a boat ramp on the south coast of New South Wales on Monday night has been charged with drink-driving.
AAP reports police were called to the Shellharbour boat ramp at about 10pm (AEDT) on Monday to find a Kia Carnival submerged at the end of the ramp.
They were told a woman, 31, from Queensland, who had been drinking alcohol in her car on the ramp, mistook the ramp for the road when she attempted to drive away.
The car submerged with the woman inside, but she escaped through an open window. A man helped pull her from the water.
Police said she was breath-tested at the scene and returned a positive result.
