Former England cricketing captain Tony Greig has died of a heart attack.
The South Africa-born 66-year-old was diagnosed with lung cancer two months ago.
The BBC reports the all-rounder played 58 Tests for England from 1972-77, including 14 as skipper, before giving up the captaincy to join Australian media magnate Kerry Packer's breakaway World Series.
Following his retirement from international cricket, Greig, became a popular television commentator in Australia.
He was born in South Africa but his British parents qualified him to play for England.
