Four missing boaties have been rescued with the help of a New Zealand Air Force Orion near Fiji.
One person remains missing.
The Air Force was helping the Fijian Rescue Coordination Centre look for the nine-metre long fibreglass skiff with five people on board.
A defence spokesperson says the Orion located the white, swamped vessel early on Sunday morning with two people in lifejackets near the boat.
Another two survivors were also located.
The Orion continued to search for a time for the missing person, but is now returning to New Zealand.
