Woman convicted after throwing quiche at police

3:48 pm on 11 April 2013

A woman in New South Wales has been found guilty of assaulting police with a quiche.

Police told a court they approached Franklin Jane Bugmy in the main street of the town of Broken Hill to give her an apprehended violence order.

It turned out to be the wrong paperwork, ABC reports.

Police say that's when Bugmy rammed a constable with a pram and threw the quiche at him.

Bugmy told the court that the officer was in her way, and she dropped the quiche to protect the baby.
