Thief with '10 personalities' jailed

A Melbourne woman who claimed she has 10 personalities has been sentenced to prison for eight years for stealing almost $A8 million from her employer.

Wendy Hope Jobson, 50, of Leopold, stole $A7.8 million while employed as an administrative manager with the Koroneos Group, which owns and manages hotels in Geelong and Melbourne.

In 1478 unauthorised transactions, she siphoned money from company accounts to her personal accounts, falsifying invoices to cover her tracks between 2006 and 2011.

Jobson pleaded guilty to six charges of theft and was jailed for a minimum of five years in the Victorian Supreme Court on Tuesday.

AAP reports the court heard evidence from a psychiatrist that Jobson was afflicted by dissociative identity disorder and had at least 10 different personalities.

Justice Phillip Priest said he did not accept that DID would have reduced her moral culpability.

"You were fully aware of what you were doing," he said.

Jobson blew kisses to family members before being led out of the courtroom.
