An anti-terrorism judge in France has charged a convert to Islam with the stabbing of a French soldier last Saturday.
The suspect, Alexandre Dhaussy, 22, is accused of attempted murder linked to a terrorist enterprise.
The soldier was knifed in the throat while on patrol in a business district of Paris.
Police said the stabbing may have been influenced by the slaying of a British soldier in London three days earlier.
