A series of car bomb explosions in Baghdad on Saturday evening killed at least 30 people.

More than 70 others were reported to have been wounded.

Police said the bombs were in commercial areas in the districts of Karrada, Baiyaa, Shurta and Zafaraniya as people were coming onto the streets after the end of the day's Ramadan fast.

The deadliest explosion took place in Tobchi, where 10 people were killed.

More than 200 people have been killed in Iraq since the start of Ramadan.
