El Playazo beach in the Spanish town of Vera has lifted the Guinness world record title for collective nude bathing from New Zealand.
With 729 people bathing nude at the same time, the Almeria town claimed the record by a margin of 223 participants.
Midway Beach in Gisborne had held the record since 30 December, 2012.
A mayoral advisor said the town went after the record to promote its tourist potential and set itself up as a centre for international naturism (nudity).
