Car bombs kill 51 in Iraq

Car bombs in Iraq on Monday killed at least 51 people in Baghdad and other cities. More than 200 were wounded.

The BBC reports the bombings were in Shia areas.

Police said the Baghdad bombings were in several areas: markets and car parks.

In the city of Kut, south-east of the capital, at least seven people were killed when two car bombs blew up.

Another bombing was reported in Basra.
