Pakistan has strongly condemned an American drone strike in North Waziristan as a violation of the national sovereignty.
Six insurgents were reportedly killed in the tribal region on Friday. One of them was a commander of the Haqqani network, which is known for carrying out attacks in Afghanistan.
The BBC reports it was the second drone strike in a week and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has demanded an end to all attacks.
CIA drones have killed an estimated 3500 people in Pakistan in the past nine years. About 890 were civilians.
