Libyan militant's capture piracy, says brother

The brother of Libyan militant leader Abu Anas al-Libi says his abduction by United States' special forces was an act of piracy.

Nabibih Al-Rug'ay accused lower-level government functionaries in Libya of acting in concert with the US to seize his brother, who is suspected of having links with al-Qaeda, the BBC reports.

The Libyan authorities have asked the US, which says Mr al-Libi was involved in terrorism, for an explanation about the abduction.

The US says he is being lawfully detained outside Libya.

Another raid by US special forces in southern Somalia failed to capture their target.
