Nine long-lost episodes of its science fiction series Doctor Who, which haven't been seen since the 1960s, have been found in a store room in Nigeria, the BBC says.
The episodes feature Patrick Troughton, the second of the eleven actors to play the role.
The find was made in Nigeria by Phillip Morris, an expert in rediscovering lost television shows.
"The tapes had been left gathering dust in a storeroom at a television relay station in Nigeria," he said.
"I remember wiping the dust off the masking tape on the canisters and my heart missed a beat as I saw the words, Doctor Who. When I read the story code I realised I'd found something pretty special."
Nearly 100 more copies of episodes are still missing from early series in the cult show, the BBC reports.
