Emergency services in Sydney have been responding to calls for help on Monday after torrential rain in the city's northern beach suburbs damaged properties.
The Weather Bureau says 67 millimetres fell in Cromer in northern Sydney in 24 hours - most of it in a one-hour period early in the morning.
There have also been heavy falls in other northern suburbs.
