Dylan under investigation in France

Bob Dylan is under judicial investigation in France, where he is accused of provoking ethnic hatred of Croats.

A legal complaint has been lodged by the Council of Croats in France over an interview which he gave to Rolling Stone magazine in 2012.

In the interview, the legendary singer and song writer compared the relationship between Jews and Nazis to that of Serbs and Croats.

The 72-year-old was served notice of the investigation in November when he was in Paris to receive the Legion of Honour.

Dylan, who played concerts in Serbia and Croatia in 2010, rose to fame in the 1960s partly for his support of the US civil rights movement.

Last year, President Barack Obama awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom - the highest civilian honour in the US.
