Hollywood producer Saul Zaentz died at his home in San Francisco, California on Friday.
Zaentz, 92, had Alzheimer's disease.
His career started in the music business with Fantasy Records, signing rock legends Creedence Clearwater Revival to the label.
Zaentz went on to gain recognition as an independent movie producer and won three Oscars for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Amadeus and The English Patient.
In 1997, he also won the Irving G. Thalberg Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for his work.
