The US Geological Survey says a magnitude 6.7 earthquake has struck off the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu.
The quake struck at a depth of more than 100km on Friday. There have been no immediate reports of any casualties or damage, the ABC reports.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre says the quake was too deep to generate a tsunami.
