Six climbers are feared to have fallen to their deaths on Mount Rainier in America's Washington state.
Some of the group's equipment was found near Carbon Glacier on Saturday, an area noted for falling rocks and ice.
Searchers are receiving a signal from the party's emergency beacons, but said it is too dangerous to send in a rescue team, CNN reports.
About 10,000 people try to climb the mountain each year, but only about half reach the peak at 4394 metres high.
