Rice to visit NZ after ASEAN meeting

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will visit New Zealand after attending a meeting of the Association of South-east Asian Nations in Singapore next week.

The State Department says Dr Rice will attend the ASEAN talks on 23-24 July before travelling on to Perth and Auckland for talks.

She will also visit Apia to meet Pacific island leaders before going to Hawaii.

Members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations are: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia. Myanmar, Brunei, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
