5.8 quake felt in Los Angeles

A strong earthquake was felt in Los Angeles on Tuesday. There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The US Geological Survey upgraded the quake to 5.8 magnitude after initially saying it was 5.6 magnitude.

It was centered about 48km east of Los Angeles near the community of Chino Hills at 11:42am local time (1842 GMT), and was felt as far south as San Diego.
