Anteaters go on holiday from Bangkok zoo

Two anteaters at Bangkok's main zoo have been given a three month holiday to recover from violent clashes which broke out near their enclosure.

Tension in the Thai capital turned into violent clashes between police and protesters late last week.

The four-year-old male and female anteaters - which are sensitive to noise - have been moved to another zoo in Chonburi province.

The Dusit Zoo director says other animals have been there a while and are used to Thailand's shaky political system, with noisy protests often held nearby.
