Britain is reportedly about to cut almost 10,000 jobs from the Ministry of Justice as part of a new round of budget cuts due to the tough economic climate.

The department was created 18 months ago.

The Times newspaper said on Tuesday the government planned to make Stg900 million in savings at the department.

The job losses represent around a tenth of the division's workforce.
