The leading newspaper in Alaska has endorsed Democrat Senator Barack Obama for the White House.
The Anchorage Daily News said Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin is not yet ready to serve in the White House.
Governor Palin is the Republican vice presidential candidate.
The paper said Senator John McCain had made the wrong choice at "this critical time" for the United States.
The newspaper also supported Democrat candidate John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election.
