$A9m injection for tourism in Queensland

3:26 pm on 6 November 2008

The Queensland government is to inject an extra $A9 million into the state's tourism industry.

The ABC reports the money is from the sale of the license of the wholesaler Sunlover Holidays to another travel company.

The state government is yet to announce how the money will be spent, but Tourism Minister Desley Boyle says it will probably focus on attracting more international visitors, particularly to areas like the Gold Coast.
