Fiji to blame for strained relations - Beddoes

A former Fijian Opposition leader says the interim government only has itself to blame for the strained relations with New Zealand.

New Zealand's acting High Commissioner in Fiji, Caroline McDonald, was expelled on Tuesday.

Wellington responded by ordering Fiji's interim High Commissioner in New Zealand to leave the country.

Mick Beddoes said the situation was complete madness and he would expect New Zealand to exert more pressure on Fiji.
