Abbey Road won't be sold, says EMI

Music company EMI says it is not considering selling London's Abbey Road studios, made famous by a Beatles album.

In a statement, EMI says it rejected an offer for the historic building last year and is working with third parties about funding a revitalisation project, the BBC reports.

It ends days of speculation after it was reported that struggling EMI would sell Abbey Road to ease debts.

EMI says it is looking for an investor in the site, at 3 Abbey Road in St John's Wood, but not a buyer.
