Afghanistan and Pakistan have signed a trade agreement during a visit to the region by American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The agreement allows Afghan trucks to use a land route through Pakistan to carry goods to India.
The BBC reports it will also give Afghanistan access to Pakistani ports to increase its trade with the rest of the world.
The United States has backed the accord with non-military aid for Pakistan.
