Another boat of asylum seekers intercepted

The Australian Navy has intercepted a boat carrying 89 asylum seekers and two crew.

The boat was boarded on Monday night north of Christmas Island.

The ABC reports the group will be taken to the island for processing.

Meanwhile, Immigration Department figures show that all detention facilities were full at close of business on Friday, with 4903 people in detention in centres with a total official capacity of 3567.
