[b ]Seven bushfires are now burning out of control in Victoria where fierce conditions are expected later this week.
Temperatures in the 30s are expected by Thursday with extreme heat and a strong, southwesterly wind changes forecast for Friday.
The Department of Sustainability and Environment says it will be a major achievement, if the current fires can be held until Friday.
The death toll from the fires on 7 February is 210.
Firefighters in Australia's worst bushfire disaster are being reinforced by teams from NSW, Western Australia and New Zealand.
