President Barack Obama has apologised for describing his bowling skills as akin to participants in the Special Olympics.
Mr Obama made the gaffe during an interview on the Tonight Show on Thursday.
The Special Olympics is for people with intellectual disabilities.
After the interview, Mr Obama telephoned US Special Olympics chairman Tim Shriver to apologise for the comment.
