British police have been granted a further seven days to question 11 men arrested over a suspected terrorist plot.
Twelve men were arrested in raids across northwest England on Wednesday. They included 11 Pakistani nationals - 10 of whom were in Britain on student visas - and a Briton.
One of those arrested has been released without charge in relation to the anti-terror operation, and is now in the custody of a border agency.
