The swine flu virus is reported to be slowing in Mexico and will likely cause no more than 100 deaths there.
Health minister Jose Angel Cordova says Mexican hospitals are seeing a drop in cases of the H1N1 virus.
Mexico has confirmed 60 deaths from the virus, which has spread throughout the world. Additional fatalities could come from people already in serious condition in hospital.
Mr Cordova says the swine flu outbreak was fortunately not the very serious epidemic that was forecast.
He says 30% of those who died in Mexico from the flu had diabetes or complications from obesity.
