A fire at a daycare center in northern Mexico has killed at least 27 children.
Sonora state Justice Department spokesperson Jose Larrinaga said on television that an "undetermined number" of others are in hospital.
He said it was unclear where or how the fire started at the daycare center in the city of Hermosillo.
Mexican media reports it broke out in a nearby tire shop.
