At least 185 people, mostly women and children, have been killed in an outbreak of tribal violence in south Sudan.

Officials say members of the Lou Nuer community had been fishing amid a severe food shortage when they were attacked by Murle fighters.

Eleven soldiers, who were protecting their camp, were among those killed.
