Afghan officials suspected of taking bribes

Afghanistan's chief prosecutor says he has a list of senior officials and ministers suspected of taking bribes for government contracts.

Ishaq Aluko told the BBC he has asked President Hamid Karzai and the Supreme Court to set up a special court to deal with the cases.

Mr Aluko refused to make public the names of people under suspicion until their files had been sent to the court.

Mr Karzai has come under growing pressure to deal with corruption.
