A Commonwealth team of women skiers is at the half way point of a trip across Antarctica to the South Pole.
Women from seven countries are ski-ing 900km to the Pole to mark the birth of the Commonwealth 60 years ago and to encourage greater inter-cultural understanding.
New Zealand representative Kylie Wakelin says none of the women are experienced skiers.
Two have already pulled out - one because of illness and the other because of frostbite.
