The last known surviving veteran of World War 1, Florence Green from London, has died at the age of 110.

Ms Green was serving with the Women's Royal Air Force as a waitress at an air base in eastern England when the war ended in 1918.

She was seventeen when she joined the service, which trained women to work as mechanics, drivers and other jobs to free men for front-line duty.
