Australian composer and conductor Brett Dean inhabits both those roles in this concert from the Philharmonia's Premier Series in 2017.
The main work in the first half is his response to the 2009 'Black Saturday' fires in Victoria.
In the second half, another favourite Australian Piers Lane performs the mighty Second Piano Concerto by Brahms.
