Voters in Kiribati will today (FRI) elect a new president.
Three candidates are vying for the position to replace Teburoro Tito who is barred by the constitution from seeking a further term.
Among the candidates are two brothers, Dr Harry Tong. who has been put forward by the ruling Maurin Maneaba Party, and his younger brother, Anote Tong, who has opposition backing.
Both have served as ministers.
The third candidate is Banueera Barina.
