Fiji fuel prices rise again

7:11 am on 1 July 2005

Fuel prices in Fiji have gone up again from today, after having been at their highest levels ever for the last three months.

Fiji's Prices and Incomes board has announced increases in the price of petrol, diesel, kerosene and pre-mix fuel which is used in small boats for river and sea transport.

Petrol has reached 95-US cents a litre.

But kerosene, widely used for cooking by the poor and rural people, has taken the biggest hit by going up to 1-dollar-2 US cents a litre.
